Biogas Based on Canine Stool

Departing from the research project “Urban Contamination with dog’s stool”, there were developed tests to turn domestic animals stool into biogas. The use of a biodigestor permitted the specialists to carry out the trials which produced a considerable amount of the combustible. The results generate the possibility of expanding the tests, as the resource is abundant, free and besides, it reduces the contamination caused by the waste.

Biogas: nuevo método para obtener dulces regionales

La producción industrial del dulce de mamón crece en la región por la alta disponibilidad de esta fruta. El proceso demanda un elevado costo en combustible, pero un trabajo científico, tomando como base la biodigestión anaeróbica, logró obtener biogas con la cáscara y los restos no utilizados de la fruta regional. La descarga de barros que se genera en el proceso tiene elevado contenido de nitrógeno, lo que también permite su utilización como fertilizante en huertas productoras de plantas. El sistema es aplicable a otros productos.
